Currently there are 751 DC fast charging ports at 255 convivence stores in the US and 7-Eleven already has 22 charging stations in 14 different stores. This makes their expansion their biggest to date. This plan will make it so that by the end of 2022, 7-Eleven will have an estimated 425 DCFC ports in the US. This number will make the convivence store the 6th largest DC fast charging network in the US. This is of course behind Tesla, Electrify America and ChargePoint, though these chargers will only account for 2% of the total number of charging ports.
It is likely, based on the current approach, that each location will be equipped with two 125 kW chargers. These new chargers will be exceptionally beneficial to those who live in apartments or workers on their way to and from their jobs since not all electrical vehicle owners have the luxury of charging at home.
